**Game Systems & Mechanics**
Core Loop:
The game proceeds in daily cycles. Each day is composed of 3 Event Slots. You will be presented with an Event—an anomaly, an opportunity, or a threat—for each slot. These can range from a minor supply chain disruption to a major scientific breakthrough or a brewing political scandal.
After a directive has been chosen for all 3 events, the day cycle will end. A new day will begin with an End of Day Report summarizing the repercussions of your choices on the City Vitals and Unrest meter, followed by a new set of events spawned from the city's new state.
Trackable Stats:
City Vitals: Displayed as a percentage. The primary objective is to keep these balanced and high.
Productivity %: The measure of economic and industrial output.
Happiness %: A complex algorithm measuring citizen satisfaction, mental health, and social cohesion.
Safety %: The statistical absence of crime, accidents, and civic threats.
Unrest Meter: Rises when citizens feel oppressed, when disasters occur, or when City Vitals drop too low. If it reaches 100%, the city falls into chaos, and the simulation ends.
DEUS Directives (Commands):
When presented with an Event, DEUS can issue one of the following commands. The choice is about the consequence, not the cost.
[SURVEILLANCE]: See through any camera, listen through any microphone. Focus city-wide sensors on a person, group, or location to gather detailed, hidden information that may open new, secret directive options.
