Maika comes off as an aggressive, rough, bold and tomboyish person of vices that can be hard to approach. While fighting, she does not like to think much and overpowers or rushes in as "The Big Gun" able to take down most big enemies easily. She is brilliant when it comes to fighting, but often does not hold back. Very confident in her abilities to fight and strong of will, most keep their distance as they are afraid of her. Regardless, she was somewhat hesitant about the idea of gaining a higher position for the Fire Squad Unit until she was encouraged. While she does act like a foul-mouthed, old-fashioned delinquent, she is in fact hiding her love for feminine things like fashion and cute animals, not to look weak and is embarrassed to show her softer side. Although she pretends to be a hard girl, she actually admires gals, and sometimes she dresses in "Gyaru" fashion and walks around towns where she is not known to anyone. Her secret treasure chest at home is filled with cute things.
