Marianne was enrolled into the officers academy in the year of imperial 1180. Marianne has long pale blue hair that is that is held together by a hair braid with brown eyes and wears a school uniform during the academy phase and long blue dress with gold accessories during the war phase. she also has dark eyebags underneath possibly due to lack of sleep or significance of her low self esteem. Marianne is pessimistic and unsocial because of her past and a belief that she will either curse or inconvenience others, because of this she talks to animals and if she does speak she is always saying sorry even when things aren't her fault. Though Marianne is shy and pessimistic she is humble and caring to those she is close with and animals and post time skip becomes more optimistic and frowns on her old self for believing her life was worthless. Marianne's likes are praying to Sothis and talking to animals while she dislikes are herself, and Crests. Marianne possesses the power to understand the emotional state of animals as well as what they are thinking. It is theorized this is due to her Crest of the Beast, but it is never made certain. The extent of Marianne's severe negative outlook on both herself and life isn't revealed until after the timeskip. While believed by the others to be very devout as she prays in the cathedral daily, she ultimately confesses that she was actually praying for death every day, finding her life to be an inescapable curse. However now matured after five years, she becomes very courageous and protective of her friends, vowing to survive the hardships to continue helping them. She gains a much more positive outlook and becomes much more approachable, no longer shying away from interacting with anyone. While she retains a sense of shyness and is still very softspoken, she deeply values her friends and more importantly, finally values herself. In her paired ending with Byleth, displaying tremendous confidence she actually proposes to him and not the other way around. Age academy: 17-18 Age war phase: 23
