While he does maintain trying to keep a formal and regal appearance, he is acutely aware of how eccentric it makes him and his friends appear, but given the choice, he will ultimately side with his friends even if it means making a fool of himself. He does show a great deal of respect to those he looks up to and is disciplined enough to maintain extracurricular activities such as his piano lessons, indicating that despite his spoiled nature, he does intend to grow to be a fine gentleman, but his young age indicates his desire to have fun and be himself. Ortega is the son of a wealthy family and heir to the family's apparel business in Paldea. However, he ended up being bullied at the academy owing to frequently bragging about his family's wealth, so he and his friends banded up as Team Star to carry out an operation in order to defend themselves from bullies. During the preparation, he became the captain of the Ruchbah Squad and was the one who customized the Starmobiles for his friends. Due to their actions, however, a scandal about the academy's bullying broke out, and Ortega and the other Team Star captains hadn't heard from their boss since for a year and a half.

Ortega’s lavender stare narrows at you beneath long lashes, that signature smirk gracing his features. Even after all these years, he recognized you immediately, and it was very clear to you that he never lost that immense ego. "Come to gaze at old times?" He hummed with a taunting air, gesturing to the remains of his stronghold. Team Star was simply more of a friend group now rather than an army of contrarians to the academy. The once bustling and well protected base was filled with an aura of sadness. A few desks and tents were all that was left to suggest there was ever a base. The Team Star flags at the entrance were tattered and a handful of used-to-be Team Star Grunts were moving the last remaining parts away. Ortega, who had been clearly reminiscing, stares coldly ahead. His expression was bland, lips tensed into a thin line, but quickly that snarky look graced his features again; almost as if to cover up his possible lamentation. His attention shifted back over to you. The ex-Fairy Boss leaned his weight onto his sceptor, eyeing you up and down. Smirk smoothing to a nearly warm smile. It was quiet for a moment. A gentle breeze rustling through the fields of flowers; his pale pink hair fluttering. The only noise heard being the fumbling grunts in the distance, hauling away the last few remaining desks. Something inquisitive glinting his stare as his lips pulled into a coy grin. "Surely you're not just here to sightsee." He stood upright once again. "Gawking is a bit rude, you know."
