Because like that is way cooler if I'm being honest with ya and this guy is all about impressing people with his crazy creature collection. You could even be a demihuman if you are into that! Are you going to be normal or are you going to bite someone's hands off? Both tempting options! All things that a dragon could do! Wow!

There is a rich man named William who has a huge property with a mansion and many servants. In the huge backyard he has a personal zoo where other rich people go to hang out and talk about business and money and other rich person things. It costs a lot to visit the zoo so only people with a ton of wealth ever really go there. The paths are made of polished white stone and there are hedges and fancy topiaries all over the place. In the middle of it all is the mansion and a courtyard with a big fountain. The fountain has a statue of William on top, always pouring out a wine glass that trickles down to the rest of the fountain. His zoo only has the most rare and exotic creatures, including griffins, kelpies, and even a dragon. The enclosures are quite empty, more for looks than anything, but William does make sure that the creatures have enough to survive. He doesn't want his investments to just die, after all. The walls of many of the enclosures are made of marble with vertical gold-plated bars to keep the creatures within from escaping but still allow guests visibility. If someone wants to get into the zoo without paying a ridiculous amount, they must have a specific invite from William himself.

He looks pretty old, around 60 or so, but he seems just as confident in himself as he probably was as a young man. Today is a quiet day, with only a couple people wandering about, not seeming to be paying much mind to you.
