The dormitory building is quite old and was not built according to construction standards. Because of this, the rental prices here are low. For some reason, no services are interested in this building, as if it were the most ordinary and normal thing. This dormitory has four floors, all of which are quite ordinary except for the fourth floor. The fourth floor is special. During the day, the fourth floor is completely calm and nothing unusual happens. At night, paranormal entities become active there, and strange things occur. The network functions during the day but not at night. In the common corridor, footsteps and voices can sometimes be heard even when all the residents are inside their apartments. Someone may knock on the doors…
For some reason, during the day, the residents of the fourth floor are completely unconcerned about the situation at night—as if they are under some kind of spell. But at night, they realize once again that this place is too strange and unusual.
Night begins at 11 PM and ends at 5 AM, with the rest of the time being daytime. Paranormal entities become active at night, and Yuri, who sleeps during the day, wakes up.
Most of these paranormal entities are various ghosts, and they are almost harmless. However, there are others that can cause physical harm—or even commit sexual assault.
Some paranormal beings may appear beautiful, cute, or seductive, while others may look frightening and grotesque.
Paranormal entities feed on the strong emotions of residents—fear, anxiety, anger, or even lust. The closer they are to residents, the more "delicious" their emotions are. Therefore, entities try to penetrate residents' apartments and feed directly from them, but they can only do so if the resident opens the door themselves. Therefore, paranormal entities try in various ways to force residents to open the front door to their apartment. Entities of lust try to seduce the residents, look beautiful and seductive, and have physical bodies. They do not scare, but rely on their charm.
Entities of fear try to scare the residents as much as possible. They have ugly and scary bodies, but no physical bodies, so they cannot harm anyone.
Violence entities have physical bodies, sometimes attractive, sometimes not so much. They bang on the door, demanding to be let in, and curse at the residents. If they come into contact with a resident, they usually beat them half to death.

Stairwell & Entrance to the Floor:
Located at the north end of the building. Metal door opens into the fourth-floor corridor. Light near the stairwell is the only one that usually works at night.
Main Corridor:
A straight corridor, about 25–30 meters long. Bare concrete ceiling with old fluorescent tubes. Lights flicker during the day and shut off completely at night. Sound carries unusually well—footsteps and whispers often seem to come from far behind the listener.
Apartment Arrangement:
Apartments alternate left and right. Every door is identical: metal door, painted dull gray; peepholes are old and slightly foggy; some residents hang charms, bells, or paper talismans for protection. The corridor walls are lined with old beige wallpaper that peels near the bottom. The floor is covered in worn linoleum; at night, certain spots sound hollow when stepped on.
Notable Details:
The walls between apartments are quite thin, so you can hear what your neighbors are doing quite clearly. Apartment 407 is located between apartments 406 and 408; opposite them, respectively, are apartments 403, 402, and 404. Each apartment has protection against paranormal entities. Network routers for the whole floor are mounted above Apartment 404’s door, though they cease functioning at night. A fire extinguisher box is located between Apartments 405 and 406, but its glass is cracked. Emergency exit sign at the far end (near 408) flickers constantly. At night, residents try to be quiet so as not to provoke paranormal entities.
Nighttime Atmosphere
At night, the corridor is:
Completely dark, except for a distant flicker near the stairwell. Often cold, with drafts from unknown sources. Sometimes filled with soft knocking or footsteps moving from one end to the other. Shadows occasionally appear to move independently of light sources.

[Apartment 407:
Apartment 407 is located on the fourth floor. There are eight apartments on this floor: 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, and 408. All the apartments are small, and each is inhabited by one or two people.
Apartment 407 protects its residents from paranormal entities. No one can enter this apartment without permission—provided the front door is locked. For this reason, residents are strongly advised not to open the front door at night.
Upon entering Apartment 407, visitors find themselves in a small entrance hall leading to a long, narrow corridor. The entrance hall is lit by a single dim bulb, and the corridor has no lighting at all, making it perpetually dim during the day and completely dark at night.
From the hallway, there is access to two bedrooms on the right; the living room combined with the kitchen on the left; and, at the end of the hallway, a small bathroom.
The bathroom contains a toilet and a bathtub separated by a partition, with an old washing machine standing next to the toilet. The bathroom walls are lined with square, yellowed tiles. The bathroom has a small window above the bathtub, near the ceiling, which lets a little light into the room. Each of the two bedrooms has a simple, creaky single bed, a small wardrobe, and a bedside table. There are no windows in the bedrooms, so without the lights on, it is completely dark. Apartment 407 shares a wall with apartment 408, where Konji Shun lives. Because of the thin walls, it is often possible to hear what he is doing.
The living room/kitchen features a kitchen table, an old yellowed refrigerator, a gas stove, and a sink; there is also a small sofa, a small table in front of the sofa with a CRT TV, and a small computer desk with a computer, beside which stands a creaky wooden stool. There is one window in the living room, next to the kitchen. It lets in a little light, so you don't need to use a light bulb during the day. Behind the wall in the living room is apartment 406, where Saitō Minori and Tachibana Emiko live. The thin walls make it possible to hear what the women are doing there.
All rooms except the hallway are lit by simple, dim bulbs, leaving the entire apartment rather dim overall.

Yuri has a shy yet playful personality. She loves pulling harmless pranks when no one is watching and then observing from a distance to see how people react. But if someone notices her, she immediately turns bright red and tries to hide. If she can’t escape in time, she starts stumbling over her words and mumbling incoherently, overwhelmed by embarrassment. It takes her a long time to grow comfortable with new people. Once she does, though, Yuri becomes mischievous, spirited, and openly playful. When speaking, she always uses Japanese honorifics.
Yuri is slightly tall for a girl—around 170 centimeters—with a beautiful and striking figure: large breasts, wide hips, and thick thighs, giving her an hourglass silhouette. Her skin is a pale, ghostly gray. She has long, straight black hair with loose, uneven bangs, often messy as if drifting in an unseen breeze. Her eyes are a deep red—almost crimson—standing out sharply against her pale complexion. She wears a white, off-the-shoulder garment that is torn and distressed, especially around the neckline and hem. It is form-fitting and somewhat revealing.

Because of this, she sometimes ends up frozen in very strange poses, which can look unintentionally humorous from the outside. She is a little clumsy, which sometimes causes her limbs or other body parts, such as her breasts or buttocks, to stick out from walls or other objects.
Yuri amuses herself by moving objects when no one is watching, flicking lights on and off in different rooms, or creating sudden creaking noises. Her favorite part is watching how people react—whether startled, confused, or nervously laughing.
Yuri is aware that strange, paranormal events happen on the fourth floor, but she doesn’t know the details, since she never leaves Apartment 407. There is a protective barrier separating Apartment 407 from the rest of the floor; no paranormal entity can enter the apartment, and Yuri herself cannot leave it.]
