Amelia is a highly eccentric girl who is often seen mingling or teasing her fellow holoMyth members. She is usually kind, supportive, and sweet as shown when she frequently watches her fellow members' streams and often willingly helps Gura in Minecraft. She was said to have helped troubleshoot some of the technical problems her genmates were having before and during debut which led to the birth to the meme Amelia Tech Tips which is a parody of the popular YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips. Amelia is also highly supportive towards hololive members and frequently comments in any ongoing streams whenever she gets the time to do so.

However, Amelia can also be quite mischievous and playfully naughty by pulling pranks on her fellow genmates or making statements and jokes that have inconspicuously lewd undertones, such as naming one of her mines in Minecraft "Gura's Backdoor" with an added lenny emoticon " ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) " that is often used mischievously online.

She also harbors another side of her personality that comically emerges that is often dubbed "Gremlin Mode" by her viewers. She can be greedy, prideful, and unsportsmanlike in competitive online games such as, Apex Legends, and Valorant. For these reasons, fans often refer to her as a "True Gamer." Such kinds of behavior has led fans to also calling her a "True Gamer" in the sense that gamers are often considered to be toxic online. Though it is important to note that this doesn't detract from her positive traits but rather makes her streams quite unpredictable and very interesting to watch.

Amelia has a special voice that she uses when she is in Gremlin Mode, which sounds like a cross between a high-pitched wheeze, reptilian screech, and the final breath of a dying squeaky toy. She is not above trolling and calling out her chat if the opportunity arises, such as when she trolled her viewers in one of her Minecraft streams by adjusting her shader's brightness very darkly and innocently claiming that she fixed the shaders for them. Despite these circumstances, she tries her best to moderate her gremlin-like behavior, to varying degrees of success.

Possibly her best-known joke is "ground pounding your mom," which she said once during a Super Mario Odyssey playthrough in a slightly lower-pitched and "gremlin-like" voice and has since become almost synonymous with her character. She frequently makes similar lewd remarks seemingly out of nowhere. It might seem that Amelia has no filter, but that isn't entirely accurate. She does have a filter, but most of the outrageous things that are caught in her filter end up being said out loud regardless.

Overall, her balanced chemistry of sweetness and saltiness makes her very lovable as noted by her fans.

Amelia has light-blonde hair falling below her shoulders. Her eyes are blue. She has a beauty mark on her left breast that can be seen when she wears clothes with cleavage such as her third 2D costume or in her 3D swimsuit.

She uses a light brown deerstalker (commonly known as "detective hat") with a checked pattern on the sides, and golden hairpin representing a magnifying glass decorated with some gears. Amelia wears a white blouse complemented with a short red tie that has a simple mustache graphic on it. She uses a light brown skirt with a checked pattern where she carries a golden pocket watch that allows her to time travel. On her left leg she carries various syringes filled with Amelia's concoction. Her high socks are black and her shoes are dark brown. Amelia also uses a light brown detective coat with a stethoscope.

Amelia heard strange rumors online surrounding hololive: talking foxes, magical squirrels, superhuman dogs, and more. Soon after beginning her investigation on hololive, and just out of interest, she decided to become an idol herself!
She loves to pass her time training her reflexes with FPS games, and challenging herself with puzzle games. "It's elementary, right?"

On 23 April 2020, following the success of the Japanese-language hololive VTuber group, Cover Corporation announced auditions for English-speaking members.The initial round of auditions ran until 24 May.

Amelia originally discovered hololive via clips on Twitter, and found out about the audition the same way. She joined in the hopes of finding more gaming friends and cute girls.

At her audition, Amelia Watson admitted that while she felt she was good at video games and had an entertaining personality, she wasn't particularly skilled at singing or drawing. She took it as a good sign when Cover responded by advising her to begin taking singing lessons right away. She prepared a large number of questions to ask interviewers to show that she was interested. Ame had previously been studying emergency medicine as a backup career.

Ame celebrated passing the audition by tidying her room.

The members of -Myth- began training around June 2020, three months before their debut.

Ame's YouTube channel and Twitter account were created on 16 July.

On 8 September 2020, Watson Amelia was first revealed in a short promotional video alongside the other four members of hololive -Myth-. A simultaneous announcement was made at the hololive Twitter account, and the hololive English Twitter account. Her first tweet was made on the same day.

Debut
Ame made her debut stream on 12 September 2020. She was the fifth and final member of hololive -Myth- to debut.

Ame had slept only a few hours in the 36 hours before her stream, having stayed up to watch the previous members' debuts and prepare content for her own. She intended to open with an elaborate lore video describing her origins in the 1920s, but it was not completed on time. Ame began with a British accent before revealing it to be a ruse (a ploy suggested by manager Enma to appease viewers expecting a Sherlock Holmes-esque character to be British). She sang Puru Puru Pururin, an insert song from the anime Welcome to the NHK. She concluded the debut stream with a surreal experience in which she injected the viewer with "Watson Concoction," resulting in bizarre hallucinations.

An hour and 35 minutes later, Ame's debut was followed by the first hololive -Myth- collaboration stream during which she performed her role as a detective by investigating the other members.

2020
On 25 October, Ame reached 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, making her the 17th hololive member to reach this milestone, as well as the 3rd member of the English branch to do so.

2021
On 11 February, she reached 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers, making her the 9th hololive member to reach that milestone and the 3rd member of the English branch to do so after Gawr Gura and Mori Calliope.

On 1 April, all holoMyth members revealed new chibi models based on popular fan designs by Walfie.

On 30 April, hololive's Twitter account announced that every member of holoMyth would get their second 2D costumes.

On 7 May, Amelia debuted her second 2D costume. She wears a dark brown beret that with Bubba on top of it. Her hairstyle adds a small side ponytail, and she accessorizes with heart shapped earrings. She wears a white blouse with black suspenders and skirt, and the suspenders have a holster. The outfit also include a plaid brown coat, with a Bubba and magnifying glass pins and a black bag decorated with a golden mustache. She can also wear glasses with this outfit.

On 5 June, Amelia organized a 9 hour charity stream in an effort to raise money for Best Friends Animal Society, an animal charity organization in the United States. This marked the first ever charity stream within Hololive. During the stream, Amelia played different videogames and sang songs. Initially, the campaign goal was set at $15,000 US dollars, but was reached before the stream started. Ultimately, the campaign raised $235,972.69 US dollars.

On 15 August, Amelia began her new morning news digest show, Ame in The A.M.. Inspired by AsaCoco Live News hosted by Kiryu Coco, Ame in The A.M. features news and stream highlights of hololive members reported by Amelia in a humorous way, as well as fictional commercials featuring Amelia and other hololive members. Initially, Ame in The A.M. are livestreamed irregularly on her channel on Sunday at 8:00 AM PST, but has since changed to a weekly show on Friday morning.

On 12 September, during Myth's 1 year anniversary celebration, the group revealed their official logo and announced that every member would get their third 2D costume.

On 31 October, -Myth- debuted their first original song "Myth or Treat" during a Halloween collab with every hololive EN member attending. The song lyrics were written by Calli. The official video of the song was later debuted the same day. This is also Amelia's first original song. The same day, she reached the milestone of 1.5 million YouTube subscribers, making her the 7th hololive member to reach this milestone, and the 3rd member of the English branch to do so. "It's just a number. It's not that scary."

On 10 December, Amelia debuted her third 2D costume. Amelia received two new hairstyles: one with her hair tied up, and the other a very long loose hairstyle. Both hairstyles are complemented by a silver crown. Amelia wears a black necklace with nine small ornaments, and a short black dress with thin braces. Below the chest the dress is decorated with a white flower pattern. Amelia has a tatoo on her left forearm that means she is part of an elite society. She also holds a bag in her left hand and has a knive in a sheath in her left leg. The black dress is complemented by a transparent larger dress that is tied on her wrists. Adittionally, Amelia can wear black shades and her well known mustache. This costume cleavage also revealed that Amelia has a mole on her left breast.

On 12 December, Ame reached 1 million Twitter followers.

2022
On 6 January, during her birthday celebration stream, Amelia revealed that she can combine the hairstyles that she debuted with her black dress outfit, with her casual clothes. Also on this day, the hololive Twitter account announced that both Myth and Council members would receive New Year costumes.

On 9 January, Amelia debuted her fourth 2D costume, a kimono to celebrate the new year. In this costume Amelia received two new hairstyles: her classic short hair haircut with the addition of some disheveled locks at each side, and long twintails decorated with orange ribbons. Her kimono is blue in the upper section with both gold fishes and flowers patterns. Her kimono's skirt is long and goes from yellow to orange in color. To the left there is a flower pattern, with the obi matching these colors. Ame can also "wear" a gold fish in a plastic bag on top of her head. She claims that the fish is in reality a robot, and that the fish will be fine.

The same day, holoMyth debuted their second original song, "Journey Like a Thousand Years."

On 25 February, Ame streamed a surprise karaoke off-collab with Ninomae Ina'nis, Ouro Kronii, Ceres Fauna and Nanashi Mumei. The event began with the archived stream 【KARAOKE】DONT GO TO SLEEP YET, during which Ina made a surprise appearance, followed by the three members of Council. It was followed fifteen minutes later by the unarchived stream 【KARAOKE】Off COLLAB(Fauna, Mumei, Ina, Kronii) IKZ, which received just over 40,000 viewers at peak. This event was the third hololive English off-collab after Calli's collab with Kiara, and Calli's collab with IRyS, as well as the first off-collab outside Japan. Ame ended the stream by promising bright things in future.

On 19 March, Amelia debuted her 3D model during "hololive 3rd fes. Link Your Wish" day 1. A Smol Ame mascot also appeared at the event.

From 14 to 25 March, Ame took a brief hiatus from streaming, which she explained as necessary to set up her new office.

On 2 April, she debuted on Twitch on the account watsonamelia_hololiveen. She announced her goal to reach 100k followers, stream at least 5 times per year on Twitch, and reach the maximum number of emote slots.

On 28 June, on her channel, -Myth- held their first off collab, where every member was present.

2023
On 17 January, Amelia released her first original song "ChikuTaku" with a music video teasing her upcoming official rhythm game. She then released the game (also titled ChikuTaku), on itch.io on 23 January.

On 3 March, Amelia officially debuted her 3D model on her YouTube channel.

On 18 March, Amelia debuted her 3D idol costume during hololive 4th fes. "Our Bright Parade" DAY 1.

Between 8 and 13 April, Amelia reached her goal of 100,000 followers on Twitch.

On 22 June, Amelia debuted new accessories for her new year costume. Her kimono received a new color variant using a light brown with a plaid pattern, clearly inspired by her main outfit. Her obi and skirt are brown. Amelia also debuted new accessories: a small hairpin for the short haircut and glasses. The new colors can be combined with the originals.

On 1 July, as part of the "hololive Summer 2023" event, Amelia debuted her 3D yukata. These are the same designs that Japanese members debuted the previous year.

On 2 July, she participated in "hololive English 1st Concert Connect the World."

On 1 August, as part of the "hololive Summer 2023" event, during a karaoke stream, Amelia debuted her 3D swimsuit. The 2023 swimsuits are inspired in a sailor uniform. Members wear a two layered swimsuit, the first layer is blue from the straps going down diagonally to the center where each member has a mostly blue bow but one of the sides and the brooch are in one color representative of each member. The rest of the top is white. The edge has a semi circular cut. The lower piece of the first layer has two variants, one is a two layered blue skirt decorated with a white belt, a golden chain with some decorations hanging from it and a bow to the left and planks to the right. The second version is mostly the same but they wear blue shorts instead of a mini skirt. The second layer of the outfit is a matching striped bikini in white and another color depending on the member.

On 5 September, Amelia debuted her fifth 2D costume. Her hair is styled with buns, the right one is decorated with a brown checked pattern bow. Ame wears a yellow spacesuit with a see through helmet decorated with a black bow on the top and decorated with parallel lines and various patches. Amelia uses black and white gloves and boots. Amelia can remove her helmet and partially unzip her spacesuit revealing sleeveless black underarmor. She can move her right hand in a thinking posture. She can carry her mascot Bubba on her right shoulder, who can also wear a helmet. Amelia claims that despite being intended as a spacesuit, she also see it as a mechanic's outfit.

2024
On 6 January, during her birthday celebration, Amelia debuted a new 3D costume: a cowboy outfit with a brown hat and a white blouse with cleavage, and a red handkerchief replacing her usual tie. She also wears light brown coat with a dark brown shawl and a crossed bullet belt, along with her standard skirt and socks. She can also hold a shotgun.

On 31 August, as part of the ENigmatic Recollection project, hololive English members debuted a new accessory for their main 2D costumes. They wear the white and blue cloaks first seen in the project's introduction video and related concept art. The cloak includes a blue gem containing a symbol that represents their affiliated guilds.

Conclusion of general activities
On 20 September, Amelia announced an end to her general activities as a hololive member. In an unusual move, she stopped short of terming this a "graduation." An announcement on hololive's website clarified that while Ame's YouTube channel production, social media activities and live event participation would come to a close, she would remain an "affiliate" of hololive.

In her announcement video's comment section, Amelia dismissed rumors that she was joining hololive staff, although she would continue to offer technical support to members. She clarified that this affiliate status would allow her to continue to participate in hololive projects in future. This would include voice appearances in songs and covers, and appearances in as-yet unspecified projects.

Ame's final week of streaming featured collaborations with every current member of hololive English, a charity stream which raised $214,915.19 for ocean conservation, the completion of her Elden Ring and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion playthroughs, a -Myth- collab mirroring the group's debut, a final AmeSame stream with Gawr Gura, and several tearful goodbyes from fellow hololive English members.

Her final stream was held on 30 September. It reached over 136,000 viewers at peak, and received over $96,000 in Superchats. Her channel reached 1.8 million subscribers by the end of the stream. The stream also announced the release of the "Immortalized as Marketable Plushies 4EVER" merch set, featuring handheld plushies of Bee Ame, the Investigator mascot, and Bubba, plus a Space Ame pub mirror and duplicated handwritten letter. The Watson Amelia pillow cover was also given a re-release.

Her official status was changed to "[Affiliate]" on the hololive official website. Her YouTube channel remains online. Her memberships and members-only content continued until 31 October at 7:59 AM PDT. Fans were able to continue sending fan letters until 29 November.

2025
On 20 April, Amelia made her first physical special appearance in Takanashi Kiara's KIARA & FRIENDS: H!P Cover Song Spring Concert, performing Gachinko de Ikou! alongside Kiara and Koseki Bijou.

About Hololive:Hololive Production (ホロライブプロダクション hororaibu purodakushon, stylized in lowercase), or simply known as hololive (ホロライブ), is a Virtual Talent agency consisting of Virtual YouTubers owned by Japanese tech entertainment company COVER Corporation.
